Isabella is an award-winning performer in the musical theatre and competitive show choir spaces. She has performed with Belmont University, where she is currently studying Music Education (BM) and Dance, The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Indiana Musical Theatre Foundation, Carroll High School (IN), Liberty High School (MO), Michigan State University, and many other local theatres across Indiana, Missouri, and Michigan.
Isabella began teaching in 2021 under choir teacher Jeanenne Shaver, and has since taught choir and musical theatre at the middle-school level across the Midwest.
“I began performance because of so many loving teachers who encouraged me to pursue my passions. Because of teachers, I asked for my first guitar, became a choreographer at the age of fourteen, learned a show choir competition show in 3 weeks, and many more thrilling adventures. My heart is for encouraging the next generation as well as training these young minds to be the next professionals. I want my students to leave a rehearsal or show with me feeling confident in their abilities, challenged in their weakness, and emboldened to take a leap of faith in this business we call ‘Show Business’. (Insert Bob Fosse). And it is important to remember that the young are the future! And if myself and the rest of my generation hasn’t proved it to you yet, your eyes are not open wide enough. These kids are the future of the business and more importantly, this unyielding human connection we call performance. The education of the performing arts is crucial, and I am happy to be a part of it.”

My Belief
-
The voice is the most special instrument of all! One that can never be repurchased. What you have is GOLDEN! Every voice is a natural gift and needs to be protected. Oftentimes in the performing arts, young voices are pushed into vocal styles that are unhealthy and unnatural for their developmental stage. I encourage strengthening of both the head voice and chest voice in my students often, through a classical lense, as well as the gradual and healthy way to gain a “Broadway” voice.

Every body is a dance body! Dance is not only a great physical activity and true test of mental capabilities, but in essence an art form. Dance is meant to be a performance of expression! In my choreography, I try to help dancers understand the heart behind the movement, not only the physical direction their body should move. Without emotion, dance is simply a feat of athletic prowess! By encouraging young dancers to truly connect their heart to their movement, we encourage genuine performance and true audience connection. And, its FUN!
